The City of Walnut Creek is seeking a collaborative team oriented leader to join its Engineering Division. This engineering position performs varied and complex professional traffic/transportation and civil engineering work in the design, construction, inspection, and coordination of a variety of public works projects; reviews subdivision, development, site improvement construction, land division, transportation, and other plans and applications; and performs related work as required. The majority of the Transportation/Traffic Engineer’s work will be completed in an office environment, with occasional construction/site visits.
This position performs the more complex professional engineering work and serves as a project manager for development engineering projects. Work is performed with considerable latitude for the exercise of independent judgment within established policies and professional standards and includes the direction of technical and professional staff.
