Placer County's Community Development Resource Agency (CDRA) is recruiting for an Associate Surveyor vacancy in the Auburn office. The Associate Surveyor reports directly to the County Surveyor as well as supervises assistant and technical level staff. The Associate Surveyor reviews technical documents such as legal descriptions, easements, right-of-way dedications, boundary surveys, record of surveys and final maps, as well as supervises staff that review these documents. The Associate Surveyor may plan, supervise or perform survey field work and prepare records of survey and legal descriptions. The salary range is $45.20 - $54.94 per hour.
This recruitment will be open on a continuous filing basis. Applicants are encouraged to apply prior to the first screening deadline of 5:00 PM on Friday January 25, 2019. Applications submitted after this date will be screened on a bi-weekly basis.
Minimum Qualifications -
Experience:Two years of responsible professional surveying experience performing duties similar to an Assistant Surveyor with Placer County.
Training: Equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college with major course work in engineering technology or a related field.
License or Certificate:
•Possession of registration as a Licensed Land Surveyor in the State of California.
•May need to possess a valid driver's license as required depending on the position. Proof of adequate vehicle insurance and medical clearance may also be required.
