A premiere management company for the 18,000-resident community of Laguna Woods Village is seeking a Sr. Field Operations Manager.  This position is responsible for the landscape, forestry and waste management services, driving efficiencies and service improvements. Candidates with exemplary communications and leadership skills, landscaping and horticultural knowledge, and public administration experience will excel in this role.

  • Directs a variety of landscaping, forestry, golf, lawn bowling and waste maintenance support programs.
  • Interprets objectives, new programs and plans/organizes new activities driven by the CEO.
  • Develops work programs, standards and plans schedules in conjunction with other supervisory personnel.
  • Makes field inspections of work in-progress, plans/supervises the development of departmental training and safety programs, and evaluates employees.
  • Provides feedback during employee performance review that is timely, specific, honest and designed to help the employee succeed.
  • Directs the work of subordinates in the maintenance and renovation of warm and cool season and specifically turf. 
  • Prepares annual budget proposals and administers approved budgets. 
  • Presents a variety of long- and short-term program proposals to various boards and committees.
  • Attends and presents at Board committee meetings; prepares agendas and related presentation materials.


  • Experience in the application of landscaping and horticultural principles and practices.
  • ISA Arborist certification.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel software and database scheduling systems.
  • Excellent written and oral communication and public speaking skills.
  • A valid California driver’s license.
