The City of Thousand Oaks’ Finance Department has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Financial Analyst to join its team.  We are seeking a collaborative individual who demonstrates the ability to be innovative and proactive to focus on supporting the City’s budget functions and capital asset management.
The Senior Financial Analyst should have demonstrated skills in the areas of project management, teamwork, financial analysis, and the ability to independently meet deadlines.

Primary responsibilities:
Assist with the planning, organizing, and preparation of the City’s Operating and Capital Improvement Budgets
Oversee the management of the City’s capital assets
Assist City departments with the administration of their budgets and capital asset needs
Prepare clear and concise administrative and financial reports
Research, analyze, and evaluate new reporting and service delivery methods and techniques
Speak effectively before groups and employees of the City.

Typical Qualifications
A Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in public or business administration, finance or a related field
Five years of progressively responsible financial analyses experience, preferably in a governmental agency
A valid class C California driver’s license is required
