The acting city manager of Maywood, Reuben Martinez, was placed on paid leave Friday due to stress, according to the city.
To supervise, assign, review and participate in the work of staff responsible for coordinating capital improvement projects, including preparation of engineering designs and specifications, and private land development entitlements; to ensure work quality and adherence to established policies and procedures; and to perform the more technical and complex tasks relative to assigned area of responsibility.

Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in civil engineering or a related field; or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required. (Education may be substituted on a year for year basis with related job experience, experience is in addition to any other required experience.)
License or Certificates
Must successfully complete a pre-employment background investigation and for some positions a physical and drug screen.
