Conveniently located midway between the cities of Sacramento and San Francisco, the City of Vallejo has a population of approximately 121,000 residents. Reporting directly to the City Manager and supported by 2.5 FTE, the Risk Manager and staff will work closely with all City departments.
Vallejo is seeking a seasoned risk manager to consolidate risk management programs and workplace safety activities into one central division. Programs include general liability, workers’ compensation, wellness and occupational safety, insurance, and other related loss prevention and control activities. The successful candidate, in addition to having a public entity performance record that is deep and broad, will be an excellent communicator and collaborator. Requirements include a bachelor’s degree and five years (two as supervisor) of progressively responsible risk management experience. An ARM or CRM designation is preferable.
