Incumbent will work under the direction of the Deputy Director of Wastewater Operations to ensure compliance with the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System (NPDES) Permit, preparation of City Council and committee agenda items, project coordination with engineering and maintenance staff, legislative research, and supporting workforce development and training. The work will be performed with a high degree of autonomy and executive decision making. The Program Manager III acts as a business manager for the supporting divisions to ensure effective and efficient process management and consistency in areas such as purchasing, budget and contract management. The incumbent will directly supervise division support staff.
Possession of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major course work in business or public administration or a closely related field, or the field of the program to which assigned, and four (4) years of experience managing or supervising highly visible programs or projects with major departmental or citywide impact. Possession of a valid California Class C driver’s license.
