The City of Napa is seeking a contemporary law enforcement leader with a proven passion for community policing. A progressive servant leader, he/she will be an effective mentor who embraces the opportunity to lead and develop a multigenerational department. Previous experience serving a diverse population and history of success with building relationships that strengthen the fabric of a community will be expected. Five years of relevant executive or command experience in a municipal or county law enforcement agency, coupled with a Bachelor’s degree are required. Master’s degree and/or formal leadership training is desirable. Previous experience as a Chief is not required.
