The ideal candidate will be a highly regarded law enforcement professional who is well-versed in contemporary community policing. He/she will be a hands-on leader who enjoys being actively engaged with employees and the community. To that end, superior communications and interpersonal skills will be expected. Ten years of progressively responsible experience in a California law enforcement agency that includes management experience and a bachelor’s degree are required. A master’s degree and/or formal leadership development is preferred.
