Fresno is seeking a dynamic and customer service-oriented leader to take charge of the City’s parking operations. Reporting to an Assistant Director of Planning and Development Services the Parking Manager will oversee management of the City’s on-street and off-street parking resources as well as the proactive and reactive violation system. The new leader will take over during an exciting time as the community emerges from the aftermath of the pandemic. A key area of focus will be significant parking facilities update that will require the new manager to show case strong project management skills as well as a collaborative approach to ensure that the project is accomplished to a high level. The new parking manager will also need to ensure that new innovative approaches are installed into the department’s processes as well as eye for utilizing the latest optimal technologies in the operations.
The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of successfully managing parking operations of similar size and complexity. Qualified candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree in Business/Public Administration or a related field and four years of directly related experience including two years of supervisory experience. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the education on a year-for-year basis, up to a maximum of two years. Possession of a valid driver’s license is required at time of appointment. The salary range for this position is $94,668-$115,332 annually, DOQ.
