The City of Oceanside is accepting applications for the position of Information Technologies Division Manager. There is currently one vacancy in the Information Technologies Division which is part of the City Manager's Office. This position will report to the City Manager and/or the Assistant City Manager.
The Information Technologies Division Manager will recommend and implement policies, procedures, and standards relating to information, telecommunication, office automation, technology activities and all automated systems security. Supervise the design, development, installation and maintenance of systems to meet the needs of user departments; determine information requirements and further define the nature of projects. Plan, prioritize, assign, supervise, review and participate in the work of staff.
Five years of progressively responsible supervisory or management experience in computer/information system operation, programming and systems analysis.
The equivalent to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in information systems, or a closely related field. A Master's degree is highly desirable.
