Approximate Annual Base Salary:
San Joaquin County is seeking an experienced and innovative information systems professional to serve as the Information Systems Assistant Director. The Assistant Director provides leadership for and administers the daily operational activities of the County’s Information Services Division. This includes communications systems, computer applications, network infrastructure and coordination and management of projects. The Assistant Director will work closely with the director to administer the direction, strategy, policy, and allocation of information technology resources for the County.
The Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate should demonstrate excellent leadership and management skills and possess expert knowledge of all the latest information systems technology trends. Especially key is experience in and understanding of the complex and intricate nature of government technology and infrastructure needs. A Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of management level experience in a large-scale information technology environment is desirable.
Graduation from an accredited four year college or university with a Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, public or business administration, or a closely related field.
Experience: Four years of experience in a management capacity which included managing large-scale, complex information systems and implementing complex, advanced information technology projects.
