The City of Azusa, founded in 1887, is situated just 27 miles northeast of the City of Los Angeles. The City is seeking a General Manager for its Light and Water Department with strong leadership skills, integrity, and vision to provide direction and mentorship for the staff of the Department. The ideal candidate will have sound organizational skills, be a proven leader, and have exceptional communication skills, both orally and in writing. Qualified candidates possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Civil, Electrical, or Mechanic Engineering from an accredited college or university, and ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience with electrical and water utilities, including five (5) years of experience in an administrative or managerial capacity planning, directing, and coordinating a major division of government, business, or utility organization. The salary for the General Manager pays up to $215,000 per year and is dependent upon qualifications and experience. The City of Azusa also offers an excellent benefits package.
