Plans, organizes, directs and coordinates the execution of the City's economic development and housing programs on a City-wide basis; assists representatives of business, real estate and the development community in working with the City; develops and implements business recruitment, retention and expansion programs. Serves as primary liaison between the City and downtown businesses and representatives; leads research and attraction of targeted businesses.
The ideal candidate has at least four years of economic development experience, including two years at a management or program administration level; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. Extensive knowledge of real estate development processes highly desirable; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business or public administration, urban economics, or a related field.
