Annual salary range: $172,723 to $209,934 (effective 09/02/2019)

The County of San Joaquin, population around 750,000, is searching for a Director for its Human Services Agency. The County is a dynamic, multi-ethnic and multi­cultural community situated along the San Joaquin Delta and is located 90 miles east of San Francisco and 45 miles south of Sacramento. 

The Human Services Agency meets the needs of the community and empowers clients through accessible and responsive services. The department strives to protect vulnerable children and adults and to promote maximum independence and well-being for individuals and families in the community. 

The Director of the Human Services Agency is an executive-level at-will position that receives direction from the Board of Supervisors and the County Administrator. The position provides administrative oversight and strategic direction for the Agency. The next Director will be a seasoned professional who has deep knowledge not only of the programs but also of the financial aspects and funding stream allocations of the Agency.
