The Director of Development Services is an at-will management position.

Plans, directs, manages and oversees the activities and operations of the Development Services Department including planning, engineering programs, building and code enforcement; business development, Business Licensing, and urban redevelopment and housing programs. Coordinates assigned activities with other departments and outside agencies and provides highly responsible and complex administrative support to the City Administrator.

The ideal candidate has at least six years of urban planning, redevelopment, business, or economic development experience including three years at a management or program administration level; Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in business administration, public administration, economics, urban planning or a related field; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.
