The Director of Community Development will plan, organize, manage, and provide administrative direction and oversight for all functions and activities of the department. The position will work closely with other County departments, officials, outside agencies, regulatory agencies, and the public and will be responsible for fostering cooperative working relationships. This position will also be responsible for providing highly responsible and complex professional assistance to the Planning Commission and the Board of Supervisors.

Education: Graduation from an accredited university with a master’s degree in urban or regional planning, business or public administration, architecture, engineering or a closely‐related field.
Experience: Seven years of senior‐level management public sector development services-related management work, including at least four years in urban or regional planning.
Required Qualifications
License: Possession of a valid California driver’s license.
