The Director of Community Development will serve on the City’s management team and will act as the executive for the building, housing, and planning operations of the City. This position will nurture a culture of excellent customer service, identify ways to streamline processes, an empower staff to seek creative solutions to development challenges. The Director will work collaboratively with peers, elected and appointed officials, members of the community, developers, business owners, and staff.
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university with major course work in planning, public administration, or a related field. A Master’s degree is highly desirable.
Ten years (full-time equivalent) of increasingly responsible experience in a position related to community development, planning, or public administration and management, and three years of management and administrative responsibility.
