The acting city manager of Maywood, Reuben Martinez, was placed on paid leave Friday due to stress, according to the city.
The City of La Puente, California is seeking a skilled problem solver with a performance record that reflects innovation and an ability and willingness to think beyond traditional paradigms to serve as its next Director of Administrative Services. The Director of Administrative Services reports to the City Manager and is responsible for managing the day-to-day activities of the Administrative Services Department which includes Finance, Human Resources, Risk Management and Information Technology functions. This senior-level executive will be results-driven, with well-grounded, ethical decision-making skills, superior interpersonal and communication skills with demonstrated leadership potential, and outstanding public speaking abilities.
REQUIREMENTS: Candidates should have at least eight (8) years of responsible experience in varied administrative assignments, including at least three (3) years in a managerial capacity. The successful candidate will have a broad background in municipal finance and human resources. Familiarity with information technology, as well as experience working with organized labor is preferred is also desirable. A Bachelor’s degree with a major in Public Administration, Business Administration or relevant discipline is required. A Master of Business Administration or Master of Public Administration is desirable.
The approximate salary range is $139,044 – $180,864. While salary will be DOQE and is expected to be within this range, La Puente is committed to offering a competitive compensation package for a highly qualified top candidate. The salary is supplemented by a generous benefits package.
