Job Description

The City of Turlock, the second largest city in Stanislaus County, offers a unique blend of quality education, a friendly small-town atmosphere, and the conveniences of a larger city. The City is seeking a dynamic and experienced individual to lead the Development Services Department. 

 

The ideal candidate is a strong leader and effective manager with a background in urban planning, municipal engineering, and public administration and a working knowledge of economic development.  A BS with significant course work in Urban Planning, Public Admin, Civil Engineering is required as is 5 years professional public agency experience in public admin, planning and development services, municipal engineering, or a related field with three years of administrative/ supervisory responsibility. The AICP certificate and a MS in Planning, Public Administration, or related field is desirable.

 

The annual salary range is up to $182,844 DOQ.  The City offers an outstanding benefit package that includes auto allowance, longevity, bilingual, and educational incentive pays, CalPERS 2.7% @ 55, City funded retiree health saving account, and generous contributions to medical, dental, & vision insurance!
