The County of Sonoma is pleased to accept applications for Deputy Director of Emergency Management. Starting salary up to $139,711/year.
The Deputy Director of Emergency Management will provide leadership to a team of Emergency Management Coordinators, serve as the Director of the Emergency Operations Center (EOC) when activated, and develop EOC trainings and operational plans. The Deputy Director will provide leadership for the County's Emergency Staff Development program; oversee the countywide evacuation planning project, develop an Emergency Operation Plan Annex annually, and oversee the department's logistical functions related to emergency preparedness. This position will provide leadership and representation on local and regional emergency-related boards and committees, and liaison with local cities, the County Fire Chiefs Association, and the EOC Logistics Section. The Deputy Director will serve as the Director of the Department in the Director's absence.
