Community Engagement Coordinator - Bilingual

Provide inclusive outdoor education, recreation, and outreach programs and services for our community as a bilingual Community Engagement Coordinator!

The Community Engagement Coordinator delivers culturally relevant programs, services, and events that connect people to parks. This position develops innovative partnerships, represents Regional Parks at events, delivers services in English and Spanish, and assists with outreach, marketing, and communications efforts for a variety of audiences. The Community Engagement Coordinator supports Regional Park's equity, diversity, and inclusion efforts. Responsibilities will also include:

  • Expanding community-based partnerships and building relationships with a diverse audiences to overcome barriers for accessing park programs, services, and participation in community events and meetings
  • Preparing reports relevant to increasing park access (i.e. community needs assessments, resource inventories, best practices research, program surveys)
  • Coordinating the vehicle entry pass program
  • Supporting stewardship activities and volunteerism to care for parks and trails

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Superb verbal and written communication skills in both English and Spanish
  • Demonstrated experience assisting with programs and special events to engage diverse audiences
  • Experience coordinating outreach activities
  • An understanding of the principles of community engagement, equity, diversity, and inclusion
  • The ability to work collaboratively, and be self-motivated and goal-oriented
