Communications & Marketing Officer

City of Rancho Cucamonga

The Communications & Marketing Officer provides accurate, open and comprehensive information about the City of Rancho Cucamonga and its programs, policies, services, and future plans in a timely manner to those who live, work and play in the city. He or she is a champion for community engagement by supporting and/or leading public involvement, creating opportunities for dialog to help guide the policy decisions and actions of the local government. The Communications & Marketing Officer supports departments in consistently promoting the City's brand and messages on local, regional and national levels and assists in incorporating the City's Vision, Mission, and Values, as well as Team RC and Healthy RC principles and philosophies into all the City's public communication strategies.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will embody the Team RC values of S.P.I.R.I.T. (service, people, individual excellence, Rancho way, innovation and teamwork). Furthermore, he/she will be caring, courteous, curious, confident and celebratory. 


Education and/or Experience:
Graduation from an accredited college with a Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Marketing, Communications, Journalism or a related field. Four years of increasingly responsible administrative experience with responsibilities for promoting and presenting public information of a public agency, non-profit organization, college or corporation or any combination of training and experience that provides the desired knowledge, skills and abilities.
