The County of Santa Barbara is hiring a Cloud Migration Architect position in the Information and Communications Technology (ICT) Division of General Services.
We are looking for a Cloud Migration Architect who is as comfortable white boarding complex software architectures with a roomful of engineers as they are briefing an executive audience. As a Cloud Migration Architect, you will be responsible for evaluating, designing, building, testing and implementing IT systems. This position reports to the IT Enterprise Architect Supervisor and collaborates with a team of IT Architects responsible for enterprise systems. You will mentor (but not supervise) ICT’s infrastructure engineers and technicians.
Our Cloud Migration and Infrastructure Architects will work closely together to support all enterprise infrastructure systems. Cloud Migration Architects will have real world experience in accelerating cloud migration capabilities to meet the demands of the enterprise and departmental business needs and will design, extend, alter and modify existing systems on-premise and in the cloud.

The scope of technologies includes but is not limited to; Enterprise Applications such as Exchange, Active Directory, Identity Access Management, enterprise monitoring, and the Microsoft System Center Suite including Configuration and Operations Manager, Wired and Wireless Networking, VMWare, Storage, Backup, IT Security, Cloud solutions such as O365, Azure, AWS, Google, and proprietary vendor solutions.

You will be a seasoned professional with strong communications skills, significant professional experience in your area of expertise specific to a complex government environment, and leadership experience that includes providing instruction, motivating and mentoring others, and successfully building relationships.
