Civil Program Manager

The Sonoma County Sheriff's Office is seeking an Administrative Management Professional to Become Their Civil Program Manager!

Reporting to the Sheriff's Administrative Services Director, the Civil Program Manager directs and coordinates legal, administrative, and instrumental functions of the Sheriff's Civil Bureau. Key responsibilities include: reviewing, analyzing, and evaluating the effectiveness of civil operations; authorizing and monitoring budget expenditures; explaining and interpreting policies, procedures, and laws affecting Civil operations; and supervising non-sworn Civil Bureau staff.

The ideal candidate will possess:

  • The ability to quickly attain knowledge of and effectively apply the principles, rules, regulations, laws, and procedures pertaining to civil law enforcement, including the Code of Civil Procedures
  • Knowledge of the principles and practices of effective management
  • Strong personnel management experience, with the ability to connect with staff and be a proponent of staff development
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to effectively lead teams and collaborate with the public, governing bodies, and other agencies
