The City is now seeking an experienced administrator and proven manager to provide effective leadership while coordinating the activities of a municipal organization. The ideal candidate will be a strategic thinker and visionary leader who will take a creative approach to problem-solving and managing the City’s long-term goals. He or she will be results-driven, opportunistic, flexible, and open to new ideas. The Council requires a candidate with strong business acumen and prior experience and demonstrated accomplishment in strategic planning and capital improvements and economic development that includes recruiting mainstream businesses. The Council highly desires a manager with past hands-on work with public/private partnership projects. The candidate must display a successful history and background in community engagement and experience dealing with culturally, ethnically, and economically diverse communities. At a minimum, candidates must possess a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in public administration, business administration, finance, or a closely related field, and have a minimum of ten (10) years of broad and extensive administrative experience including a minimum of five (5) years in an executive leadership or management role.
