The Contra Costa Transportation Authority (Authority) invites interested applicants to apply for the position of Associate Transportation Planner. The Associate Transportation Planner will support development of the Countywide Transportation Plan (CTP), the Congestion Management Program (CMP), and other transportation planning studies. Areas of support will include maintaining the Land Use Information System and Geographical Information System (GIS) databases of the Authority's Countywide Travel Demand Forecasting Model, and the Comprehensive Transportation Project List for the CTP and CMP. The incumbent will assist with project selection and monitoring for grant programs, oversight of consultant activities, participate in Authority and locally-sponsored planning studies, GIS analysis and mapping support, review and maintenance of model inputs, review and comment on traffic studies, and staffing of the Authority's Technical Modeling Working Group. The Associate Transportation Planner will work in cooperation with the Senior Transportation Planner and report directly to the Deputy Executive Director for Planning.
