The Santa Barbara County Department of Social Services is recruiting a full time position for a Assistant HR Manager. This position will report to the Division Chief managing the Human Resource Division and will be located in Santa Maria.
The Department is seeking a leader who can fill in and support the Department of Social Service's HR manager to achieve tasks that will support the Department and help position it for the future. The incumbent will either be responsible for or shall assist with various duties and aspects of HR, including but not exclusively limited to: providing consultation services to staff; acting as the liaison with other County Departments; assisting or conducting disciplinary investigations which includes writing investigation reports; investigating civil right allegations and protected client information breaches; actively participating in disability management activities; recruiting activities; policy development; and HR training. This position will allow you to use your expertise across many HR disciplines rather than being assigned to just one area
