The City of Jurupa Valley is a special city characterized by its small-town feeling, exceptional natural beauty, and distinctive communities. The City is currently seeking candidates who are interested in the position of Assistant City Manager. The City is seeking a collaborative and team-oriented candidate who exhibits exceptional interpersonal abilities, strong oral and written communication skills, and demonstrated supervision skills. A smart, savvy, and experienced generalist with a strong background in city operations will excel in this position. Any combination of training and experience which would provide the required knowledge, skills, and abilities is qualifying. Typically, the equivalent to graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, public policy, finance, or a related field and seven (7) years of management or administrative experience in municipal administration or in a public agency would be qualifying. A Master’s degree in public administration is highly desirable. The salary range for the Assistant City Manager position is: $153,708-$186,833; placement within this range is dependent upon qualifications.
