Approximate Salary: $11,993.70-$14,578.41/month* Effective January 3, 2022 plus and excellent benefits package which includes a County contribution to employee medical, dental, and vision coverage; a 2% employer contribution to the Deferred Compensation plan; vacation cash out of up to 8-days annually; 15 days of annual vacation leave; 80 hours of administrative leave annually; 14 paid holidays annually.

San Joaquin County Employees' Retirement Association is recruiting an Assistant CEO (ACEO) to provide oversight and management of the day-to-day operational and compliance activities of SJCERA. The Assistant Chief Executive Officer for San Joaquin County will be an inclusive and inspirational leader, who creates a positive work environment, built on respect, collaboration and mutual trust. The ACEO will be an engaged leader with superior interpersonal and communication skills, political acumen, a strong business sense and strong ethics.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting, public or business administration, finance, economics, or closely related field.
Four years of increasingly responsible fiscal, accounting, auditing, benefit administration, or administrative/analytical work with public sector employee retirement benefit programs, including at least one year in supervisory capacity.
A strong understanding of the County Employees’ Retirement Law (CERL) of 1937; experience with public sector employee retirement benefit programs and/or experience administering a defined benefit or defined contribution pension plan is highly desired.
