Mobile Home Residents Sue Anaheim Over Hail of Golf Balls

A group of mobile home residents is suing the City of Anaheim over a barrage of golf balls that have been pummeling their homes from the public golf course nextdoor.

The problem started a couple of years ago after the city removed some trees between the course and the homes. A tee box for the 15th hole was also moved in closer proximity to the residences. For years prior, the residents say they coexisted peacefully with the golfers.

In interviews with local news stations, residents of the Casa Hermosa Mobile Home Park pointed to holes in their walls, which they say came from the golf course. One man says he was hit by a ball in the shoulder.

Anaheim officials express disappointment with the lawsuit, which they believe is unnecessary. The city wants to work with the residents on a solution, Anaheim spokesperson Erin Ryan said.
