Palo Alto Interim Assistant City Manager and Chief Financial Officer Kiely Nosé is poised to assume the permanent assistant city manager’s role following an announcement by top administrator Ed Shikada. The city council is expected to approve Nosé’s promotion on Dec. 12.
“Kiely has demonstrated strong leadership through the pandemic and her experience in managing across departments will continue to be invaluable as we support community recovery,” said Shikada in a press release. “Palo Alto is well served by her talent and commitment.”
Before coming to Palo Alto, Nosé held a number of financial and budgeting roles with the City of San Jose. She also previously worked for OpenGov, a leading government technology company.
“Recently, she has been responsible for managing the City’s financials and allocation of constrained resources through the uncertainties of the pandemic as well as the most recent efforts to develop local measures K and L on the November 2022 election to ensure financial stability into the future,” according to the City.
