Outages Affected 911 Calls Across Northern California Monday

Several cities, counties, schools, and medical facilities in Northern California were impacted by a 911 emergency services outage Monday. The disruption affected mobile callers in the counties of Shasta, Tehama, Butte, Glenn, and Siskiyou. Red Bluff, Chico, the Chico Unified School District, and Butte College were also impacted. People were still able to make 911 calls from landlines.

Repairs to a fiber cut in Oroville, CA caused the loss of 911 service, according to AT&T. 

"Our technicians worked quickly to make repairs and service is now operating normally,” the company told Action News Now.
