Police Arrest Suspected Serial Killer Who Targeted L.A.’s Homeless

Authorities say they have arrested a man suspected of murdering homeless people in Southern California.

The suspected serial killer, 47-year-old Ramon Escobar, was apprehended Monday in Santa Monica after allegedly beating another homeless man. Police immediately set up a security perimeter, which is how they found him.

Escobar is accused of killing at least three people in the Los Angeles County area while they slept. In addition, authorities say he is wanted in connection with the death of two relatives in the state of Texas.
