More Calls For Dixon Vice Mayor to Resign

Pressure is mounting for the vice mayor of Dixon, California to resign over a homophobic column he wrote declaring July Straight Pride Month and using slurs to describe homosexual men.

More than 13,000 people have signed a viral petition calling on Ted Hickman's removal from city government. Sacramento Mayor Darrell Steinberg has also weighed in, saying Hickman should step down from office or be voted out.

Hickman still has his defenders. In an another disturbing column, former Dixon Vice Mayor Michael Ceremello stuck up for Hickman and called gay pride parades “a hdonistic demonstration of marginal values.”
