Ojai Hires New Community Development Director

The City of Ojai in Ventura County has hired a new director of Community Development. Luke Connolly, current management specialist and planning division manager for Monterey County’s Resource Management Agency, has been named to the post effective Feb. 20.

According to the Department’s website, “the Community Development Director has direct oversight for all functions of the Community Development Department,” which includes the Planning Division, Building and Safety Division, and Code Compliance Division. 

Connolly has 20 years of experience in planning, having worked for the cities of Marina, Fremont, San Jose and Palo Alto, according to a city press release. He holds a master's degree in urban planning from San Jose State University.

“I’m excited and looking forward to the opportunity to work with the city’s staff and the residents of Ojai,” said Connolly in a statement. “I feel that I will be a great fit for the city.”
