Here Are the Cities With the Most Retail Pot Shops in California

The state’s capital has the largest number of retail pot shops in the state, according to new records from the Bureau of Cannabis Control. 15 dispensaries are now licensed to sell marijuana to those 21 and over in Sacramento. San Diego is in second place with 13 licensed dispensaries total.

Despite a delay in sales, San Francisco came in at No. 3 with 9 shops. Cathedral City followed (8 shops).

The figures come just two weeks after recreational pot sales became legal in California. They are certain to change as more dispnesaries receive their licenses and cities and counties implement new rules.

Los Angeles has not begun issuing its licenses yet but, when it does, it is poised to overtake them all.
