El Monte’s City Manager is Moving to Norwalk

Norwalk has hired El Monte top administrator Jesus Gomez as its next city manager.

Gomez has served the city of El Monte for the past eight years. He first joined as the economic and redevelopment director in 2009. He was eventually appointed to the assistant and then interim city manager positions before becoming the city's top executive in 2015.

“I am honored to congratulate Jesus Gomez on his appointment,” said El Monte Mayor Andre Quintero. "He will be sorely missed. He leaves our city in a much better place and for that we will always be grateful.”
