Farmersville City Manager is Leaving for Windsor

Farmersville City Manager John Jansons is stepping down after two years on the job. He has accepted a position as the top administrator of Windsor, a town of about 27,000 in Sonoma County.

Farmersville’s mayor and councilmembers praised Janson’s performance as city manager, saying the city is better off now than when Jansons was first hired. The council will meet today to discuss a replacement for him.

"We need to make a decision," Mayor Paul Boyer said. "My hope is that we can make a decision for an interim city manager for six months. Hopefully, that will give us enough time to hire a new city manager."
