SafeWise Releases Annual Rankings of California's Safest Cities

The home security site SafeWise has released its annual list of California’s safest cities. The rankings are based on FBI statistics for the year 2015, though SafeWise eliminated cities with less than 10,000 residents and those that failed to submit a complete crime report to the FBI.

Imperial came in at No. 1 with a total of 0.29 violent crimes per 1,000 and 3.11 property crimes per 1,000. It was followed by Rancho Santa Margarita; Aliso Viejo; Laguna Woods; Canyon Lake; Foster City; Yorba Linda; Moorpark; Truckee; and Hillsborough.

Be sure to check out the full list, which also includes rankings from last year.

Data is compiled and reported by Report does not reflect statistics on all 482 California cities.
