Jaime Fontes Lands Greenfield City Manager Job

Jaime Fontes has been tapped by the City of Greenfield following a nationwide search for its next city manager. Fontes most recently served as the city manager of Santa Paula, but the council decided to let his contract expire in October. He had previously worked in Nogales, Arizona.

Greenfield’s recruitment effort was led by Bob Murray and Associates. They started out with 30 candidates across the country. Their pool was finally whittled down to five finalists.

Interim City manager Robert Perrault praised Fontes for his financial restructuring efforts in Santa Paula.

“He brings a wide track record of getting things done within the communities he has worked with.”

Fontes will earn a base salary of $165,000 per year, plus health and housing benefits. His official start date is May 8.
