$87,709.13 - $107,075.52 Annually

Benefit Allowance: $236.51 biweekly

The County of Santa Barbara is seeking an experienced professional to become the Audit Supervisor for the Auditor-Controller’s Office.

The County of Santa Barbara is dedicated to providing excellent service to the community through its 23 different departments.  The Auditor-Controller’s office is elected by Santa Barbara County voters to provide accounting, budgeting, and financial services to the public, county agencies, school districts, special districts, and cities as defined under Government Code.  

Under general supervision, conducts and participates in financial, compliance, and business improvement audits performed by the Internal Audit Division of the Auditor-Controller’s Office; provides supervision, training, and quality control for, and oversees fieldwork of, Accountant-Auditors; completes special projects and performs related duties as assigned.

Requirements: 
Possession of a Certified Public Accountant’s Certificate recognized by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, or possession of a Certified Internal Auditor Certificate and: 1.three years of professional experience in financial auditing, including at least one year of lead worker experience; or, 2.two years of experience performing duties equivalent to the class of Accountant-Auditor III in the Internal Auditing Division of Santa Barbara County; or, 3. a combination of training, education, and experience that is equivalent to one of the employment standards listed above and that provides the required knowledge and abilities.
